Profractional® laser

The Profractional® laser dramatically improves the overall appearance of the skin by treating wrinkles and fine lines, scars (also those caused by acne), aging and sun damage.

Discover the Profractional® laser treatment

The device can be adjusted to three different modes to treat your specific skin concerns and the recommendations of our medical team.

Profractional® Treatment

This technology utilizes Erbium laser energy to make thousands of microscopic punctures in the skin, while leaving the surrounding skin intact. The surrounding area of untreated skin stimulate the body’s natural healing process, thereby plumping up and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars, and other imperfections.

MicroLaserPeel®

The MicroLaserPeel is called an intra-dermal laser peel since it removes outer layers of the skin (20-50 microns). Stronger than a chemical peel, the intensity used is halfway between a microdermabrasion (7 microns) and a full skin resurfacing (50 microns or more).

Deep Resurfacing

When the Resurfacing Mode is used, the ablation of the skin is deeper so the benefits are more dramatic and the healing period is usually longer.

How does a Profractional® laser treatment work?

To ensure optimal comfort, we recommend you arrive one hour prior to your appointment so that the numbing cream will have time to take effect prior to treatment.

Profractional® Treatment

The Profractional® treatment involves minimal downtime as the microscopic punctures in the dermal tissue leave the surrounding regions intact, promoting rapid healing. It typically requires a series of 3 to 6 sessions with a 4-week interval between each session.

MicroLaserPeel®

This gentle resurfacing treatment involves minimal downtime and targets only the epidermis to improve the tone, texture, and color of the skin for an overall radiance. Recovery may last from 3 to 4 days or more which is why it has been nicknamed “weekend peel”. The treatment can be repeated 2 to 4 times with a 6 to 8-week interval between each session.

Deep Resurfacing

During a deep resurfacing procedure ablation is more extensive and yields more dramatic results. However, recovery usually takes longer.
