As founder of the clinic, Dr. Lucie Beaupré supports and advises the medical management in place and remains one of the most competent treating physicians. The Medicart network is proud to be able to rely on this renowned professional through her practice and her mentoring of other professionals in phlebology.

Dr. Lucie Beaupré graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal in 1978. She practices sclerotherapy according to the European methods of phlebology (treatment of varicose veins and spider veins by injections). She was then an associate physician in sclerotherapy clinics in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Miami.

In 1985, Dr. Beaupré pursued postgraduate training in phlebology at the École de Médecine de Paris, followed by a clinical internship with Dr. Pierre Wallois, Secretary of the International Union of Phlebology.

In 1989, she set up her own phlebology clinic named Dr. Beaupré Varicose Vein Clinic, with facilities in Ottawa (Ontario) and Gatineau.

In 1997, she was the first in Ontario to use – echosclerotherapy – or ultrasound guided injections. This technique avoids surgery for large varicose veins.

In 2003, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Phlebology (CSP).

From 2006 to 2011, she served as Vice-President Education for the Canadian Society of Phlebology (CSP).

In 2010, Dr. Beaupré successfully passed the American Board of Phlebology (ABPh) exam; she is now a graduate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. She is the only person with this degree in 2015 in the Ottawa Valley.

In October 2011, Dr. Lucie Beaupré was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Canadian Society of Phlebology (CSP) in recognition of her great contribution to the field of phlebology. She was also elected Fellow of the Canadian Society of Phlebology (CSP) in recognition of her remarkable accomplishment.

Over the years, Dr. Beaupré has attended several international conferences in phlebology in Canada, the United States, Japan, Austria and France, not only as a participant, but also as a speaker or instructor for other phlebology physicians, thus putting her experience at the service of professionals and individuals.
