Dr. Richard Danylewick
Dr. Richard Danylewick is a vascular surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He earned his medical degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and completed a residency in general surgery at McGill University.
Following his postdoctoral medical studies (Fellowship) in vascular surgery at the Université de Montréal, he worked at CHRDL in Joliette, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Jean Talon Hospital in Montreal.
In 1998, after completing a training program in venous disease at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, his interest in the evaluation and treatment of venous disease evolved alongside the advancements in this rapidly expanding vascular specialty.
Since 1999, he has mastered the use of venous Doppler ultrasound to identify saphenous vein insufficiency and plan his surgeries. In 2006, he adopted endovenous laser treatment as an alternative to traditional surgery. Since then, Dr. Danylewick has gained extensive experience and expertise in applying this cutting-edge technology, which offers patients significant advantages over conventional surgery.
Dr. Danylewick is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Venous and Lymphatic Society, the American Venous Forum, and the Canadian Society of Phlebology, where he serves as a Fellow and Secretary General.
He is actively involved in teaching this specialty and frequently delivers presentations at medical conferences. He is recognized by the Department of Surgery at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine as a Clinical Lecturer.
His vascular practice and interests are entirely dedicated to venous disease.
Dr. Danylewick is now practicing at two Medicart network clinics, one located in Montreal and the other in Rosemère.
