Dr. Michel Zummo
Dr. Michel Zummo, a prominent Canadian physician, is recognized for his contributions to phlebology and vascular medicine. Graduating from the University of Montreal in 1981, he has been a pioneer in this field. As the Secretary-General of the Canadian Society of Phlebology from 1984 to 1993, he spearheaded notable advancements.
He chaired the organizing committee of the 11th World Congress of the International Union of Phlebology (UIP) in Canada and contributed to phlebology standards in Quebec. An expert in medical-legal disputes, he has taught and presented his research internationally, collaborating with pharmaceutical companies. A trailblazer in the use of advanced technologies for venous diagnosis and treatment, he has also been an ambassador for the Palais des Congrès de Montréal since 1992.
