Do you find excessive sweating bothersome? You don’t have to tolerate it.

Sweating is a completely normal phenomenon that allows us to eliminate toxins from our bodies and regulate its temperature. However, when the level of sweating significantly exceeds the required degree for temperature regulation, we then refer to it as excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis.

Other side effects of excessive sweating:

People who sweat excessively are more exposed to the risks of dehydration, eczema due to skin dryness, and athlete’s foot problems. Of course, we must not forget the body odors that this problem can cause, as well as the consequences it can have on an individual’s social life.

Fortunately, there are solutions!

Issues with excessive sweating can be inconvenient, and there are various solutions to greatly alleviate or eliminate this discomfort:

1 – The classic solution: Antiperspirant

Of course, the majority of people incorporate antiperspirant into their daily routine. It can be applied not only under the armpits but also on the hands and feet as needed. For people who suffer from excessive sweating, it is recommended to use a more effective antiperspirant.

The performance of these products is measured based on the percentage of aluminum chloride or aluminum chlorohydrate in the product, which can reach 25%. With a high aluminum content, it is advisable to use it with caution if you have sensitive skin.

In case of doubt, don’t hesitate to consult a doctor.

2 – Neuromodulator injections in a medical aesthetic clinic

Approved by Health Canada for the treatment of excessive underarm sweating, this is a very effective treatment that can last an average of 7 to 9 months.

Neuromodulators, also known as Botox, when injected into targeted areas, block the signal between nerve impulses and the muscles of the sweat glands, thus greatly reducing sweating in the week following the treatment. The treatment is relatively quick and causes few side effects. By side effects, we mean a slight sensitivity to the treated areas during the day following the injection.
